Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Machine Maintenance Engineer responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of plastic injection molding machines and associated equipment. The candidate will ensure maximum machine uptime, adherence to safety standards, and efficient production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plastic injection molding machines.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical faults.
- Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, sensors, drives, and machine automation components.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth machine operations.
- Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts inventory.
- Execute machine installation, commissioning, and modification activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Expertise in electrical maintenance, control panels, motors, drives, and PLC systems.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting machine breakdowns.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with injection molding machine brands such as Engel, Haitian, Toshiba, Fanuc, JSW, KraussMaffei, or similar.
- Exposure to automation systems, robotics, and process optimization.
- Experience in manufacturing or automotive plastic component industries.
