Location: Thiruvallur (Near Chennai), Tamil Nadu

Domain: Lean Manufacturing | Plant Simulation | VST

Experience: 6–7 years overall & 3+ Years (Plant Sim)

What you'll do:

▸ Develop & maintain simulation models for manufacturing and assembly operations using Siemens Plant Sim

▸ Perform time & method studies and analyze current-state / future-state value stream maps

▸ Identify bottlenecks, idle time, and line balancing opportunities

▸ Conduct capacity planning, throughput analysis, and discrete event simulation

▸ Measure and track KPIs - lead time, throughput, cycle time, resource utilization, and ROI

▸ Evaluate improvement scenarios: buffer optimization, multi-skilled operator allocation, line re-layout

▸ Write simulation algorithms to convert manufacturing parameters into executable models

▸ Collaborate with operations, industrial engineering, production, and quality teams

▸ Generate reports and dashboards with clear improvement recommendations

▸ Validate simulation results against real operational data

Technical skills required:

▸ Siemens Plant Simulation (mandatory, 3+ years hands-on)

▸ Discrete event simulation & capacity planning

▸ Lean / Six Sigma - VSM, JIT, kitting, line balancing

▸ Time & method study

▸ Data analysis and KPI reporting

Who you are:

▸ B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

▸ 3–7 years of experience in plant simulation (3+ Years) and value stream transformation (6-7 Years)

▸ Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams

▸ Strong communicator - able to present findings to stakeholders at all levels

▸ Fluency in English; Tamil is an added advantage
