Job Role

The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading the overall operations, performance, and strategic development of the company's manufacturing facility in India. This role oversees production, quality, engineering, supply chain coordination, organizational development, and operational excellence initiatives while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and business growth plans.

The successful candidate will serve as the key liaison between local operations and headquarters, driving manufacturing efficiency, building high-performing teams, and ensuring the achievement of operational, financial, and customer satisfaction targets. This position is ideal for experienced manufacturing leaders with strong expertise in stamping operations, precision manufacturing, automotive components, or industrial production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead overall plant operations and execute business strategies to achieve operational, financial, and manufacturing performance targets.
  • Manage production, engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and operational functions to ensure efficient factory performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality enhancement, cost optimization, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and strengthen local management teams, performance management systems, succession planning, and organizational capability.
  • Oversee manufacturing planning, resource allocation, capacity utilization, and production scheduling to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company operating procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and strategic business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with headquarters regarding business performance, operational updates, strategic initiatives, and organizational development plans.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, identify operational risks, and implement corrective actions to improve overall plant performance.
  • Support business expansion, localization initiatives, and long-term manufacturing capability development within the India operation.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience within precision manufacturing, metal stamping, automotive components, electrical components, tooling, die manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, or related industrial environments.
  • Proven experience managing manufacturing facilities, factory operations, production departments, or large-scale industrial operations.
  • Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional manufacturing teams, department heads, operational managers, and technical personnel.
  • Solid understanding of stamping processes, manufacturing systems, production planning, operational excellence, cost control, and factory performance management.
  • Experience overseeing quality management systems, customer requirements, supplier coordination, and industrial supply chain operations.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, organizational management, and business execution capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability and experience managing complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Experience working within multinational manufacturing organizations or international reporting structures is highly preferred.
  • Professional fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is mandatory for headquarters communication and cross-border collaboration.
  • Professional fluency in English is required for business operations, reporting, and multinational stakeholder management.
  • Native or professional fluency in Hindi is required for local team leadership and stakeholder engagement.
