About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Plant HR & Industrial Relations (IR) Head to lead the complete HR, IR, and Administration function at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in industrial relations, statutory compliance, local liaising, and plant HR operations. Candidates who are from Chhattisgarh or have previously worked in the Raipur/Mahasamund region will be preferred due to their understanding of the local ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Relations (IR)
- Lead and manage all Industrial Relations activities at the plant.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
- Build and maintain harmonious relationships with employees, unions, and worker representatives.
- Ensure smooth handling of labor disputes and prevent industrial unrest.
HR Operations
- Manage end-to-end plant HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll coordination, employee engagement, performance management, and exit processes.
- Drive manpower planning and workforce optimization.
- Ensure implementation of HR policies and processes across the plant.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate statutory audits and maintain required documentation.
- Liaise with government authorities, labor departments, and other regulatory bodies.
Liaisoning & Local Administration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government authorities, village representatives, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Handle local administration, security, transport, housekeeping, canteen, and facility management.
- Support plant leadership in managing local community and external stakeholder relationships.
Employee Engagement
- Drive employee welfare initiatives and engagement programs.
- Promote a positive work culture and ensure effective communication across all employee levels.
- Support leadership in change management and organizational development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Plant HR & Industrial Relations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in Industrial Relations, labor law compliance, liaising, and plant administration.
- Proven ability to manage unionized workforces and resolve complex IR issues.
- Excellent understanding of statutory and labor law compliance.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a confident and professional personality.
Candidates who are from Chhattisgarh or have prior work experience in the Raipur/Mahasamund region will be preferred.
