Hiring: Plant Finance & Controls Lead / Plant Finance Manager
We are looking for a seasoned Plant Finance & Controls professional to lead budgeting, financial governance, compliance, and value creation initiatives at our manufacturing plant. This role partners closely with Plant Leadership to drive cost efficiency, capital discipline, and robust internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Budgeting & Management Reporting
- Lead the end-to-end annual budgeting process for the plant by framing guidelines, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with Plant Leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze budget inputs, validate assumptions, and incorporate cost initiatives and procurement synergies.
- Partner with the Plant Head and Leadership Team to finalize and deploy the annual plant budget.
- Drive budget adherence through regular performance reviews, identifying saving opportunities, mitigating risks, and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate CAPEX proposals through detailed financial and operational analysis, including assumption validation, ROI assessment, benchmarking, and project feasibility.
- Ensure strict CAPEX budgetary controls, prevent overruns, and conduct post-implementation reviews to hold functions accountable.
Plant Initiatives Cost Savings & Process Improvements
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes relevant to plant operations.
- Work with plant management to define and prioritize cost optimization strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Plant Internal Controls & Compliance
- Design and implement SOPs in consultation with plant stakeholders and monitor adherence to key controls.
- Lead discussions with senior audit teams, address control gaps, and proactively resolve audit matters to avoid observations.
- Manage customs compliances, including MOOWR and SVB, monthly/quarterly returns, departmental audits, and litigation matters.
- Conduct annual customs law health studies and drive remediation actions to ensure 100% compliance.
- Oversee scrap management, participate in scrap rate negotiations, and drive higher realization.
- Review and approve vendor invoices in line with Statements of Account (SOA).
Fixed Asset Accounting
- Periodic review of CWIP, ensure timely capitalization of assets.
- Review physical verification reports of fixed assets and align discrepancies with books of accounts.
Insurance Management
- Facilitate annual insurance renewals, including review of sum insured and additional coverage based on past claims.
Periodically assess insurance adequacy and proactively enhance coverage
