Job Description

Role Summary The role is responsible for the end-to-end financial leadership of an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing plant. This position holds full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility for the Medium Voltage (MV) business, managing a revenue of 130M€. The General Manager acts as a strategic finance business partner, bridging the gap between plant operations, regional leadership, and global finance to translate operational data into strategic actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & MBR/QBR Ownership
  • Lead monthly (MBR) and quarterly (QBR) business reviews, providing insights on YTD sales versus plan, backlog ageing, cost overruns, and execution risks.
  • Drive P&L turnarounds and margin expansion through rigorous fixed cost rationalization and strategic pricing.
  • Manage financial simulations, forecasted P&Ls, and cash flow projections (BCFE's) to validate the feasibility of strategic Brownfield/Greenfield capex projects.
  • ETO Operations & Business Finance
  • Own ETO plant profitability, risk management of ETO projects, and financial exposure tracking.
  • Drive financial governance across the lifecycle of ETO projects, validating cost estimations, margin walks, and assessing risk contingencies.
  • Monitor early warning signals for cost overruns, scope change, and margin erosion during project execution.
  • Reporting, Audit & Corporate Governance
  • Serve as the Super Key User and Business Finance SPOC for monthly closings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions across all reporting cycles.
  • Own end-to-end statutory and internal audit coordination, managing compliance under IND AS and Group guidelines.
  • Act as the Process Owner for Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) self-assessments, control documentation, and submissions.
  • Digital Transformation & Systems Expertise
  • Design and review management dashboards to standardize performance metrics across functions.

Key Qualifications & Competencies

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) with minimum 8-10 years of experience.
  • Expertise in manufacturing economics and advanced financial problem-solving skills.
  • High comfort level with SAP, digital tools, and translating operational data into executive-ready narratives.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the SAP.
