Design and Development:
- Design bulk material handling systems including conveyors, feeders, hoppers, silos, stackers, reclaimers, and crushers.
- Design layouts for mineral processing equipment such as crushers, screens, separators, mills, cyclones, and flotation units.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
System Optimization:
- Analyze existing systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and performance gaps.
- Conduct system reviews and implement upgrades or retrofits to improve productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Technical Documentation:
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules in coordination with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare procurement documentation including equipment specifications, scope of work, and technical data sheets.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, layouts, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly structural and electrical departments.
- Liaise with clients to understand requirements and deliver customized engineering solutions.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all designs and equipment comply with applicable local, national, and international codes and regulations.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on advancements in material handling and mineral processing technologies.
- Apply best practices and continuous improvement concepts to engineering and design activities.
Work Environment:
- Perform office-based engineering design work with periodic field visits to project sites, manufacturing facilities, and client locations.
- Operate in industrial environments such as mines, plants, and construction sites when required.
