We are seeking a Plant Controller to manage the financial operations of our plant, with a focus on cost control, accurate reporting, and strategic financial partnership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a Tier-1 automotive manufacturing environment, driving operational efficiency and profitability through data-driven insights.
Role & Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and cost reports for the plant.
- Analyze production variances, scrap, and rework costs, and propose corrective actions.
- Support management in decision-making with timely and accurate financial insights.
Costing & Profitability:
- Maintain product costing, Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis, and standard cost updates.
- Evaluate new product launches and change requests from a cost-impact perspective.
- Work closely with production and supply chain to control material, labor, and overhead costs.
Controlling & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and coordinate with auditors.
- Monitor fixed assets, CAPEX spend, and depreciation schedules.
Operational & Strategic Support:
- Partner with plant leadership to improve working capital efficiency and cost competitiveness.
- Track and report plant KPIs such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), inventory turns, and cost per unit.
- Provide financial support for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Reporting & Systems:
- Prepare monthly MIS and financial dashboards for corporate review.
- Maintain accuracy in ERP-based financial and cost data.
- Support automation and digitalization of finance processes in the plant.
Skills Required
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) with 5-8 years of experience in plant controlling, preferably in Tier-1 automotive or precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, variance analysis, and manufacturing finance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel.
- Understanding of automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally.
