Job Title: Planning Manager
Location: Coimbatore, Amravati (Andhra Pradesh)
Responsibilities:
- Support in Planning and Scheduling, assist in the preparation and updating of project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Ensure that project timelines are realistic and achievable by coordinating with various teams.
- Track project progress, comparing actual progress to planned schedules, and identify potential delays or risks that could impact the timeline. Assist in implementing corrective actions if required.
- Assist in identifying and allocating resources (labor, equipment, materials) required to meet project schedules and objectives. Work with team members to adjust resource plans as needed.
- Monitor project costs and compare them against planned budgets. Assist the Senior Planning Manager in maintaining cost-effective project plans and ensuring that any changes are aligned with the project budget.
- Identify and assess project risks related to time, cost, and resources. Help develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues before they become critical.
- Prepare regular reports, including project progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and variance analysis reports, for the project team and senior management. Ensure all project documentation is kept up-to-date and accurately reflects the status.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external stakeholders (contractors, clients, suppliers) to ensure alignment on project timelines and objectives.
- Assist in analysing project workflows and proposing improvements to optimize project efficiency. Suggest adjustments to scheduling processes where necessary to improve project outcomes.
- Monitor and document any changes to project scope, timeline, or resources. Assist in updating project schedules and communicating changes to all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that all planning activities comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate project schedules and logs.
- Provide support to the Senior Planning Manager or Project Manager in overall project management tasks, ensuring a smooth flow of communication and coordination between different teams.
Qualifications Required:
- BE/B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, resource planning, project monitoring, and schedule analysis.
- Sound understanding of construction project management principles, project controls, and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to lead planning functions across multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Preferred experience in Industrial, Hospital, Hospitality, Commercial, Mixed-Use, or Large-Scale Building Projects.
