About The Role
We are looking for a skilled
Planning Engineer Facade to join our projects team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules specifically for facade works including curtain walls, glazing, cladding, and aluminium systems.
You will act as the bridge between design, procurement, fabrication, and site installation teams, ensuring that all facade activities are executed on time, within budget, and in coordination with the main contractor's master schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Planning Scheduling
- Develop and maintainbaseline master schedules,micro-schedules, andlook-ahead programsfor facade works using Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Prepare detailedWork Breakdown Structures (WBS)specific to facade systems including unitized curtain walls, stick systems, structural glazing, and cladding installations
- Identify and monitor thecritical pathfor facade activities, highlighting potential delays and recommending corrective actions
- Preparerecovery schedulesand mitigation plans when projects fall behind baseline
Progress Monitoring Reporting
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against approved baseline schedules
- Prepareearned value reports, andprogress dashboardsfor internal and client review
- Generateweekly and monthly progress reportsincluding look-ahead programs (3 weeks / 6 weeks) for site/Project team
- Maintainas-built schedulesand document all changes to the baseline program
Coordination Interface Management
- Coordinate betweendesign,procurement,fabrication,logistics, andsite installationteams to ensure seamless workflow
- Interface withmain contractorandclientplanning teams to align facade schedules with overall project milestones
- Attendregular coordination meetingswith project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve scheduling conflicts
- Facilitatelook-ahead meetingswith site supervisors to ensure daily and weekly targets are understood and achievable
Material Procurement Tracking
- Monitorlong-lead itemsincluding glass, aluminum profiles, sealants, gaskets, cladding panels, and anchoring systems
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure material delivery dates align with installation schedules
- Trackfabrication progressat supplier facilities and flag any production delays that could impact site work
- Maintain material status trackers and integrate them into the master schedule
Risk Change Management
- Identifyschedule-related risks(weather, material delays, design changes, interface issues) and develop mitigation strategies
- Evaluatevariation orders and change requests, integrating approved changes into the project program
- SupportExtension of Time (EOT)claims by preparing delay analysis, time impact analysis, and supporting documentation
- Assist inclaims managementrelated to schedule disruptions and lost productivity
Site Support Compliance
- Conductregular site visitsto verify actual installation progress against planned progress
- Ensure that site installation sequences follow the approved methodology and schedule
- Report anysite constraints(access issues, crane availability, work front handover delays) that impact the schedule
- Ensure compliance withcontractual scheduling requirementsand reporting deadlines
