Position Overview
We areseekinga detail-oriented and analytical Planning Engineer to join our project management team. This role is crucial for ensuring project timelines are met, resources areoptimized, and our ambitious growth targets are supported through effective project planning and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Support in preparing project baseline programme/construction programme according to company standards and requirements
- Develop resource plans and routinely update project schedules
- Create andmaintaincomprehensive project timelines using industry-standard software
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure realistic scheduling
- Material reconciliation, Bills audit, Identification,preparationand analysis of rates for Non BOQ items.
- Estimation of rates as per BOQ specification & drawings with coordination of PFC.
- Amendment order to Subcontractor interims of Quantity variation & NT Items, EOT
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Produce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project tracking
- Identifydelays, critical paths, and areas of concern
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates
- Inform Project Manager and Construction Manager of potential issues
Resource Management
- Develop and manage project resource allocation
- Optimizeworkforce and material scheduling
- Coordinate with procurement teams fortimelymaterial delivery
- Ensure efficientutilizationof project resources
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed project documentation and progress reports
- Prepare comprehensive project status presentations
- Assistin project extension of time claims preparation
- Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in the fit-out industry
- Strong technical knowledge andproficiencyin computers
- Proficiencyin project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience with construction project management
- Knowledge of fit-out and interior construction processes
- Understanding of building codes and regulations
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred
Technical Skills
- Openness to learn new processes and our in-house Propene software
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) preferred
- Understanding of Building InformationModeling(BIM)
