Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical/Civil preferred)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Planning Lead to manage project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for a chemical plant project. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, identifying delays, performing schedule analysis, and providing timely reports to support effective project execution and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop, and maintain detailed project schedules in line with project objectives and contractual milestones.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential risks and delays.
- Perform delay analysis and recommend recovery plans to mitigate schedule impacts.
- Track engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning progress and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, and management presentations.
- Analyze schedule variances and provide forecasts for project completion.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and client representatives for progress updates and schedule reviews.
- Conduct progress review meetings and highlight critical activities requiring management attention.
- Maintain project planning documentation, progress records, and schedule revisions.
- Support project management in decision-making through accurate planning and performance reporting.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for chemical, petrochemical, refinery, industrial, or process plant projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis, and delay analysis techniques.
- Experience in progress measurement, reporting, forecasting, and project controls.
- Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
