Job Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
PL/SQL Developer with a strong background in
Oracle PL/SQL,
SQL, and
PostgreSQL development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
database development, data migration, and performance optimization within an
Agile SDLC environment. The role requires a proactive professional capable of designing complex queries, writing optimized procedures, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views to support enterprise applications.
- Analyze existing SQL/PLSQL code and perform query optimization and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain database logic for data migration, transformation, and validation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams for requirement analysis, sprint planning, and delivery.
- Implement robust and secure data migration strategies between complex database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Azure SQL).
- Support and automate processes using Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, and integration with dynamic APIs if required.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational standards and policies.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues, identify root causes, and apply timely fixes.
- Maintain proper technical documentation, schema definitions, and deployment scripts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 610 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL development.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in data migration and transformation.
- Expertise in writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for high-volume transactional systems.
- Sound understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling principles.
- Practical experience in performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
- Exposure to Azure ecosystem tools such as Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, and Azure Key Vault.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment with sprint-based delivery.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical discussions and stakeholder collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in data migration projects from legacy to modern SQL-based systems.
- Working knowledge of ETL concepts or tools like SSIS, Pentaho, or Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database architecture and automation pipelines (CI/CD).
- Certifications in Oracle SQL/PLSQL or Azure Database Solutions will be an added advantage.
