Role Summary

Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL components for enterprise banking applications. Translate business requirements into efficient database solutions and collaborate with application development, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality results.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL components for enterprise banking applications.

2. Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers.

3. Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.

4. Optimize database performance through query tuning and execution plan analysis.

5. Collaborate with application development, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

6. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to database development standards and best practices.

7. Troubleshoot production issues related to database objects and implement timely resolutions.

8. Support application deployments, database migrations, and release activities.

Mandatory Skills

1. 3–8 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL development.

2. Strong understanding of Oracle Database architecture and database programming concepts.

3. Hands-on experience developing stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.

4. Experience in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.

5. Good understanding of indexing, execution plans, joins, and database normalization.

6. Familiarity with database release management and version control.

7. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Forms and Reports

• Shell scripting

• UNIX/Linux environment

• Banking or Financial Services domain knowledge
