Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Stress Engineer with strong expertise in piping flexibility analysis and exposure to static equipment design for US-based oil & gas and petrochemical projects. The role involves working directly with a US engineering team in a fully remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform piping stress analysis using CAESAR II / AutoPIPE.
- Analyze sustained, thermal, occasional, seismic, and wind loads as per US standards.
- Design and review pipe supports (standard and special supports).
- Perform nozzle load evaluation and coordinate with equipment vendors.
- Interface with piping layout, structural, and civil teams.
- Ensure compliance with US codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed stress reports and technical documentation for client review.
- Participate in virtual meetings with US client teams.
Static Equipment Exposure Required
- Mechanical design review of pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, and storage tanks.
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII design principles.
- Understanding of API standards (API 650/620).
- Equipment datasheet preparation and vendor drawing review.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in CAESAR II (mandatory).
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and ASME Section VIII.
- Experience working on US / North America projects.
- Familiarity with static equipment design and nozzle load calculations.
- Experience in EPC project environment.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to offshore / Onshore/ refinery / petrochemical projects.
- Strong communication skills (client-facing role).
- Comfortable working in US time zones.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 6+ years of relevant piping stress analysis experience.
