Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Stress Engineer with over 12 years of specialized expertise in piping and structural stress analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex offshore projects, specifically those governed by Saudi Aramco CRPO (Contract Release Purchase Order) standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity of piping systems and structural components under various loading conditions, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Stress Analysis: Perform advanced static and dynamic stress analysis for offshore piping systems using industry-standard software (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE).
- Standard Compliance: Ensure all designs and calculations strictly adhere to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), ASME B31.3, and specific CRPO requirements.
- Offshore Engineering: Address unique offshore challenges, including vibration analysis, fatigue assessment, and environmental loading (wind, wave, and blast).
- Technical Review: Conduct rigorous checking of stress reports, isometric drawings, and support designs generated by the team.
- Project Liaison: Interface with client representatives (Aramco) and multi-disciplinary teams (Structural, Process, Mechanical) to resolve technical queries and ensure design integration.
- Support Design: Design and select specialized piping supports, including spring hangers, struts, and expansion joints.
- Site Support: Provide technical assistance during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of offshore platforms or FPSOs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years in Piping Stress Analysis within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Aramco Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience working on Aramco CRPO projects is mandatory. Familiarity with Aramco's Quality Management Systems (QMS) is highly preferred.
- Offshore Proficiency: Solid background in offshore platform brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Software Skills: Mastery of CAESAR II; proficiency in Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations.
- Communication: Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting technical reports to stakeholders.
