Job Purpose:
To coordinate and supervise complete piping fabrication, installation, welding, valve installation, testing support, commissioning assistance, QA/QC coordination, and progressive system handover activities for Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) project.
Key Responsibilities:
Piping Fabrication & Installation
- Review piping drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and work packages; coordinate and supervise piping fabrication, spool production, fit-up, welding, support installation, valve installation, penetrations, and onboard piping installation activities in accordance with approved specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate welding, inspection, and quality control activities, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, inspection requirements, classification standards, and project quality objectives while supporting weld tracking, documentation, and closure of piping-related punch points.
- Plan and oversee hydrostatic, pneumatic, flushing, leak testing, and commissioning support activities, ensuring system readiness, timely resolution of observations, and progressive handover of completed systems to the shipyard and client.
- Prepare daily and weekly execution plans, coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and work fronts, monitor progress against schedules, and ensure seamless coordination between fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Liaise with shipyard representatives, client teams, inspectors, QA/QC personnel, and other disciplines to resolve technical and execution issues, maintain workflow continuity, and achieve project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with shipyard safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, and worksite inspections while promoting safe work practices across all piping execution activities.
- Maintain accurate progress reporting, installation records, testing documentation, QA/QC records, and completion of dossiers to support project monitoring, system certification, and final handover.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of shipbuilding or marine piping systems.
- Understanding pipe fabrication, installation, and welding processes.
- Familiarity with hydrotesting, flushing, and commissioning activities.
- Ability to read piping drawings, P&IDs, and isometrics.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements.
- Strong planning, coordination, and reporting skills.

- Experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Offshore, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Engineering projects.
- Exposure to piping fabrication and installation works.
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and work fronts.
- Knowledge of marine standards and classification of society requirements is preferred.
