JOB Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Piping Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience in the design and engineering of piping systems for process industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Water Treatment, and related sectors.
- The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Lead Piping Engineer, contributing to the development of safe, efficient, and code-compliant piping solutions across multidisciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Piping Engineer in the design, analysis, and execution of piping systems for process plants
- Perform pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent software, ensuring compliance with ASME B31.3/B31.1 and other relevant codes
- Support the development of piping specifications, material selection, and valve sizing based on process requirements
- Review and validate engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, line lists, and piping material specifications
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, structural, and instrumentation teams to ensure integrated design solutions
- Participate in technical evaluations of vendor documents and support procurement activities
- Conduct site visits for layout verification, constructability reviews, and resolution of field engineering issues
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards, project schedules, and client specifications
- Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases
Technical And Industry Experience
- Experience in preparing and reviewing technical documentation such as datasheets, specifications, and calculation reports
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to multidisciplinary project teams
- Exposure to EPC projects or consultancy environments
- Familiarity with international standards and multi-office project execution
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelors in Mechanical or equivalent.
- 57 years of experience in piping engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Water Treatment, or similar process industries
- Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM)
- Proficiency in pipe stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II) and familiarity with 3D modeling environments (e.g., Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D)
- Problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of integration between process units.
