Piping Engineer - Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate, and supervise piping and pipeline construction activities at project site, ensuring work is executed as

per approved drawings, specifications, Saudi Aramco standards, project schedule, HSE requirements, and quality

procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Review IFC drawings, piping isometrics, P&IDs, line lists, material specifications, and project procedures before execution.

- Plan and control piping fabrication, erection, installation, tie-in, hydrotest, reinstatement, and mechanical completion

activities.

- Prepare and review method statements, job safety analysis, lifting plans, work permits, material take-off, test packages, and

technical queries.

- Coordinate daily with construction supervisors, foremen, QA/QC, HSE, planning, materials, subcontractors, and client

representatives.

- Monitor manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and productivity to achieve daily and weekly work fronts.

- Resolve field piping issues, drawing clashes, material shortages, and constructability concerns in coordination with

engineering.

- Ensure line checking, punch clearing, hydro/pneumatic testing, flushing, reinstatement, and handover records are completed

properly.

- Prepare daily progress reports, look-ahead plans, manpower reports, and construction status updates.

- Ensure all work is performed under approved PTW, HSE controls, toolbox talks, and project quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

- Minimum 7 to 10 years of oil and gas piping/pipeline construction experience.

- Strong experience in fabrication, erection, tie-ins, hydrotesting, mechanical completion, and brownfield or shutdown work.

- Good knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, API, Saudi Aramco standards, isometrics, P&IDs, and piping material

specifications.

Skills & Competencies

- Site execution planning, manpower control, technical coordination, reporting, and problem solving.

- Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, GADs, and test packages.

- Good communication skills in English and ability to coordinate with multi-discipline site teams.
