Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Piping Engineer specializing in Pipenet software. The role involves performing piping network design and hydraulic analysis for marine and offshore oil and gas projects, including firewater, seawater, utility, and process piping systems. The Piping Engineer will prepare and review engineering calculations, models, and simulations in Pipenet, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, and optimize system layouts for safety and performance. Daily responsibilities include producing and checking piping layouts and isometrics, generating technical documentation and reports, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and supporting project reviews and client queries. The individual will also be expected to participate in design meetings, maintain accurate records of analyses, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong piping engineering skills, including piping design, layout, and hydraulic analysis using Pipenet Software
• Solid understanding of offshore and marine engineering principles, including process, utility, and safety systems for oil and gas facilities.
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) and best practices for piping design, firewater systems, and pressure network analysis.
• Ability to produce clear technical reports, calculations, and documentation, and to review and validate engineering deliverables.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Piping, Offshore, or Marine Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or certifications in piping design and usage of Pipenet Software
