Key Responsibilities
- Review pending tasks, markups, updated P&IDs, and client comments, and participate in daily team stand-ups to align priorities
- Model piping systems using Autodesk Plant 3D and AutoCAD by placing valves, fittings, equipment, and routing pipes while ensuring proper clearances and accessibility
- Cross-reference P&IDs to ensure the 3D model aligns with the design intent
- Perform clash checks to identify and resolve interferences with structural and instrumentation elements
- Verify component ratings and design basis by referring to ASME and ANSI piping codes
- Coordinate with senior piping engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve layout conflicts
- Participate in design review meetings and assist with isometric extraction, drawing registers, and material take-offs (MTOs)
- Learn from mentors by studying reference standards, vendor catalogs, and industry best practices
- Complete progressively independent engineering tasks as technical proficiency improves
- Update task trackers, maintain model files with proper version control, and document open items for the next day
