Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Piping Designer with expertise in Smart 3D (S3D) to join our engineering team. This role involves the design, modeling, and detailing of piping systems for various industrial projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.

Job Responsibilities

* Develop 3D models of piping systems, equipment, and supports using Smart 3D (S3D) software.
* Prepare detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, and plot plans from 3D models.
* Generate material take-offs (MTOs) and bill of materials (BOMs) from the S3D model.
* Perform clash detection and interference checks within the 3D model and resolve design conflicts.
* Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure integrated design.
* Review and incorporate client specifications, industry codes, and company standards into designs.
* Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize designs for constructability and operability.
* Ensure all designs adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations.
* Support construction and commissioning activities by providing clarification on designs as needed.

Job Qualifications

* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Piping Designer, with significant experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or pharmaceutical industries.
* **Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) is mandatory.**
* Strong understanding of piping specifications, industry codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3, etc.), and international standards.
* Experience with 2D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for drafting and detailing.
* Familiarity with P&ID interpretation and translation into piping layouts.
* Knowledge of piping material specifications, valve types, and support requirements.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
* Familiarity with Navisworks or similar clash detection software is a plus.
