Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pipeline Designer role based in Ranchi. The Pipeline Designer will prepare and update pipeline layouts, alignment sheets, and detailed drawings using CAD tools in accordance with project specifications, industry codes, and client requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers to translate design concepts into constructible drawings, performing basic design calculations, and assisting in route selection, material take-offs, and clash checks. The role involves reviewing and incorporating field data, survey information, and as-built updates to maintain accurate documentation. The Pipeline Designer will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support design reviews, help resolve design-related queries during construction, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications

  • Strong skills in pipeline layout and drafting, including 2D and 3D CAD design for oil and gas pipelines.
  • Good understanding of pipeline engineering principles, industry standards, and basic stress, routing, and constructability considerations.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and survey data to produce accurate design documents.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers and project teams, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills to handle multiple design tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas project workflows, quality procedures, and HSE practices is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in pipeline design or drafting for energy or infrastructure projects is preferred.
