Job Title: Pilates Instructor (Reformer & Mat)
Location: Ekyana Wellness
Reporting To: Centre Manager
Role Purpose
To conduct safe, structured, and effective Pilates sessions (Reformer and Mat) aligned with client goals and Ekyana's wellness programs. The role focuses on movement quality, posture correction, mobility, and core strength, integrated within a broader preventive health framework.
Key ResponsibilitiesSession Delivery
- Conduct one-on-one and small group Pilates sessions
- Deliver Reformer-based sessions (if certified) and Mat Pilates
- Ensure correct form, alignment, and controlled movement
- Modify exercises based on client fitness level and limitations
Client Assessment & Progression
- Understand client goals (posture, weight, injury recovery, mobility)
- Assess movement patterns and limitations
- Track client progress and adjust sessions accordingly
- Coordinate with dietitian and doctor for program alignment
Safety & Supervision
- Ensure all exercises are performed safely
- Monitor clients continuously during sessions
- Prevent injuries through proper instruction and correction
- Maintain equipment safety and cleanliness
Program Integration
- Align Pilates sessions with Ekyana wellness programs
- Support rehabilitation, mobility, and strength goals within programs
- Coordinate with yoga instructors and therapists when required
Client Experience
- Maintain a professional and focused session environment
- Communicate clearly and confidently
- Build client trust through consistency and structured sessions
Equipment & Studio Maintenance
- Ensure Pilates equipment is clean and functional
- Report any maintenance or repair requirements
- Maintain studio discipline and readiness for sessions
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Pilates principles and biomechanics
- Ability to correct posture and movement patterns
- Clear verbal instruction and demonstration ability
- Client handling and session structuring skills
- Awareness of injury prevention and limitations
Experience Requirements
- Certified Pilates Instructor (Mat mandatory, Reformer preferred)
- 13 years of experience in Pilates training
- Experience in wellness centres, gyms, or Pilates studios preferred
- Experience working with beginners and mixed fitness levels
