Picker, Packer, and Loader Roles & Responsibilities

Picker

• Pick products/items from shelves or storage locations based on orders.
• Check product codes, quantities, sizes, and specifications.
• Use scanners or picking lists to identify items.
• Inspect items for damage or defects.
• Move picked items to the packing area.
• Maintain accuracy and follow warehouse safety procedures.
  
  

Packer

• Pack picked items according to company standards.
• Select appropriate boxes, bags, or packaging materials.
• Check quantities and product condition before packing.
• Label packages correctly with order/shipping information.
• Seal and prepare packages for dispatch.
• Keep the packing area clean and organized.
  
  

Loader

• Load packed goods onto trucks or delivery vehicles.
• Arrange goods safely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Verify shipment quantities and documents.
• Handle loading equipment safely where required.
• Secure goods properly inside vehicles.
• Unload goods when assigned and maintain a safe loading area.
  
  

Common Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
• Work cooperatively with warehouse and dispatch teams.
