Role Description The Physiotherapy Professor or Assistant Professor will deliver high-quality teaching in physiotherapy, including lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials aligned with university and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include designing and updating curricula, preparing course materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic mentoring and guidance. The role involves supervising student projects and dissertations, engaging in research and scholarly activities, publishing in relevant academic outlets, and contributing to conferences and workshops. The faculty member will participate in departmental and university committees, support accreditation and quality assurance processes, and help build partnerships with clinical and industry stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the GD Goenka University campus in Gurugram.
Qualifications

  • Advanced academic preparation in Physiotherapy or a closely related field (Master's essential; PhD or enrollment in a doctoral program preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in physiotherapy domains such as musculoskeletal, neurorehabilitation, cardiopulmonary, sports, or community-based rehabilitation.
  • Proven teaching abilities in higher education, including curriculum design, lesson planning, student assessment, and use of innovative pedagogies and technology-enhanced learning.
  • Research and scholarly skills, including study design, data analysis, publication in peer-reviewed journals, and participation in academic conferences or professional forums.
  • Clinical experience in physiotherapy practice, adherence to professional ethics, and familiarity with current evidence-based protocols and national regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor diverse learners and collaborate with colleagues and external partners.
  • Organizational and administrative abilities to contribute to department operations, program development, and accreditation or quality assurance initiatives.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning, inclusive education, and continuous professional development; registration with relevant professional bodies is an advantage.
