Physiotherapist | Ferra | Bangalore 2–5 years experience · Full-time · Monday to Saturday · Infantry Road, Bangalore
About Ferra Ferra is a strength training system for adults 50+. Members use our concentric-only machine — a specialised piece of equipment that makes strength training safer and more effective for older adults — one short, focused exercise a day, seven exercises across the week, to preserve muscle mass and stay strong for life. Our members stay with us for years, so warmth and trust matter as much as clinical skill.
What you'll do
- Run in-person strength assessments using Ferra's clinical framework — capturing strength, stability, and mobility data at each station
- Identify each member's limitations, contraindications, and movement considerations — and communicate these clearly to the coaching team so every session is safe from day one
- Re-assess every member every 3 months — tracking progress, flagging changes, and updating the coaching team accordingly
- Be present on the floor, especially with our geriatric members — available, observant, and proactive
- Contribute to building and refining Ferra's assessment tools and protocols — your clinical perspective will directly shape how we test and track members over time
- Occasional video sessions as needed; primarily in-person
What this role is not This is not a pain management or rehabilitation clinic. We are not fixing injuries or treating conditions. Our members come to us to get stronger — and your job is to make sure they can do exactly that, safely and for life. You will assess each member, understand their physical history and limitations, and translate that into clear, actionable guidance for our coaches — what this person can do, what they cannot, and how to modify their training so they can strength train sustainably, without risk, for years to come.
Who we're looking for
- Qualified physiotherapist with 2–5 years of experience, ready for a clinical setting outside of a hospital or rehab centre
- Someone who understands that limitations are not barriers — they are parameters to train within
- Empathetic, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to — our members are 50+ and they need to feel at ease with you
- Thinks on their feet — able to make sound clinical calls in the moment, on the floor
- Ambitious enough to eventually contribute to assessment design, not just execution
- Listens well and is receptive to feedback — we're building something and that requires openness
- Fluent in English; Hindi and Kannada are a plus
What you'll get
- A rare clinical role outside a hospital — working daily with older and geriatric adults on strength, function, and longevity
- Hands-on experience with specialised equipment and assessment tools — concentric-only machines, dynamometer, mobility screens, functional movement testing
- The opportunity to directly shape how Ferra evaluates and supports member health over time — including contributing to assessment design as you grow
- Deep, applied understanding of how the musculoskeletal system changes after 50
- A reporting structure with direct access to leadership — you will report to the Head Coach
- A seat in a growing team — as Ferra opens more centres, strong early team members will have the opportunity to take on larger clinical and leadership roles
- Salary: ₹35,000–₹60,000/month depending on experience
