Role Description Physiotherapist (Coimbatore)

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Physiotherapist based in Coimbatore. The role involves providing high-quality physiotherapy services across both OPD (Outpatient) and IPD (Inpatient) hospital settings. The Physiotherapist will assess patients, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies to support mobility, recovery, and overall physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and functional evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Provide OPD physiotherapy care (musculoskeletal, neurological, sports, post-operative)
• Deliver IPD physiotherapy including:
• Early mobilization
• Bedside physiotherapy
• ICU physiotherapy support
• Respiratory physiotherapy
• Post-surgical rehabilitation
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress
• Coordinate closely with doctors, nurses, surgeons, and other clinical teams
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and safety
• Support evidence-based rehabilitation protocols and hospital standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT)
• Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, musculoskeletal & neurological rehab
• Experience in OPD, IPD, post-operative, and respiratory physiotherapy preferred
• Sports physiotherapy experience is an added advantage
• Excellent communication and patient-handling skills
• Strong documentation and record-management capabilities
• Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to patient well-being
• Experience 5-10 years
