About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Physics SME to support the development of high-quality physics reasoning data for AI systems. The role involves critically evaluating problem-solving approaches, identifying gaps in logic, and ensuring that both conceptual understanding and mathematical execution are accurate. You will work across core areas such as Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Physics, and Thermodynamics, focusing on improving the clarity, structure, and correctness of physics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess step-by-step physics solutions for logical consistency and scientific accuracy
- Identify errors in reasoning, incorrect assumptions, and gaps in problem-solving approaches
- Differentiate between conceptual misunderstandings and calculation mistakes
- Verify equations, derivations, units, and boundary conditions used in solutions
- Improve solution quality by rewriting unclear or incorrect steps into precise, structured explanations
- Ensure adherence to defined annotation and evaluation guidelines
- Contribute to maintaining high standards for physics reasoning datasets
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, or a closely related field
- Strong grasp of core physics concepts and mathematical problem-solving techniques
- Ability to analyze and interpret multi-step solutions with attention to detail
- Skilled at identifying inconsistencies in logic, equations, and units
- Clear written communication skills for explaining complex concepts simply
- Familiarity with academic problem-solving, tutoring, or content review is an advantage
- Comfortable working independently in a structured, quality-focused environment
