Job Description

  • Role: Physics Research Auditor
  • Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
  • Payout: $80 - $110 /hour

Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Physics Research Auditor to work on a contractor/part‑time basis. In this role you will apply deep physics knowledge to evaluate and improve the quality of training data that powers next‑generation AI models. Your assessments will directly influence how AI systems reason about scientific problems, ensuring that the models learn from accurate, rigorously vetted content. The work is performed entirely online, allowing you to contribute from any location while collaborating with a global network of domain experts in the AI research community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed technical reviews of advanced physics content, assessing the correctness of solutions across specialized subfields such as quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and particle physics.

• Identify flaws, inconsistencies, and unsupported assumptions in research outputs and theoretical problem‑solving approaches, documenting each finding with clear, evidence‑based explanations.

• Provide comprehensive feedback that clarifies reasoning, highlights errors, and suggests corrective actions to improve the fidelity of the source material.

• Evaluate multiple solution methodologies, comparing their theoretical soundness and practical applicability to determine the most robust approach for inclusion in AI training pipelines.

• Record all audit results in the platform's standardized reporting format, ensuring traceability and facilitating downstream analysis by AI developers and data scientists.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in physics, evidenced by an advanced degree (MSc or PhD) or equivalent professional experience in research, academia, or industry.

• Proven ability to perform technical reviews and error detection in complex scientific documents, with a track record of delivering precise, actionable critiques.

• Strong written communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical feedback clearly to both domain experts and AI engineers.

• Experience with scientific publication processes, including peer review, which equips you to assess the rigor and credibility of research outputs.

• Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts is beneficial but not required; the primary qualification is deep physics knowledge and the capacity to evaluate content objectively.

More About the Opportunity:

This role offers a unique chance to work with a leading AI‑focused platform that transforms expert knowledge into high‑quality training data for cutting‑edge models. By auditing physics content, you will help shape the scientific literacy of AI systems used across finance, healthcare, engineering, and many other sectors. The position provides flexible hours, a collaborative environment of world‑class researchers, and direct impact on the reliability of AI agents that operate in real‑world settings. Your contributions will be part of a larger effort to build trustworthy AI that respects rigorous scientific standards.

Equal Opportunity Employer:

We hire based on skills and expertise. All qualified candidates are welcome regardless of background, experience, or prior employment history. Applications are reviewed solely on demonstrated technical ability and qualifications.
