Physician Assistant

Role Description: The Physician Assistant at SKILLforge Solutions will support one of our client organizations by delivering high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in an on-site setting in Chennai. This full-time role includes conducting patient assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and assisting with diagnoses and treatment plans under physician supervision. The Physician Assistant will order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications within authorized scope, provide patient education on treatment and preventive care, and document all encounters in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Daily responsibilities also involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in care coordination, and contributing to continuous improvement in clinical processes and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Clinical care competence, including patient assessment, history taking, physical examination, and basic diagnostic interpretation.
• Knowledge of evidence-based medicine, treatment planning, and preventive care practices in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
• Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in medical documentation, electronic health records (EHR), and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple clinical tasks.
• Master's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited Physician Assistant program and current/eligible professional certification and licensure as required.
• Commitment to continuous learning, openness to feedback, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Prior experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with US-based healthcare practices is an advantage.
