Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior PHY Engineer / Physical Layer Developer to join an exciting R&D team working on next-generation Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) and LiFi technologies.

Experience: 5–8 Years
Qualification: M.Tech / M.S. / Ph.D. – ECE, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Wireless Communications or related fields
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop PHY algorithms for LiFi and FSO communication systems
• Work on OOK, PPM, DCO-OFDM, ACO-OFDM and advanced modulation techniques
• Develop channel coding solutions including LDPC, Polar and Reed-Solomon
• Model optical wireless channels including turbulence, pointing errors, receiver noise and non-linearities
• Build end-to-end PHY/link-level simulations using MATLAB / Python
• Evaluate BER, throughput, EVM and spectral efficiency
• Translate fixed-point algorithms into FPGA/RTL/HLS implementations
• Develop/review VHDL / Verilog for PHY blocks
• Work with AMD/Xilinx Vivado for simulation, synthesis and hardware validation
• Contribute to research, prototyping and experimental validation
Must-Have Skills
Strong Digital Communications & DSP fundamentals
PHY / Physical Layer algorithm development
OFDM, channel estimation, synchronization & detection
MATLAB or Python – hands-on simulation from scratch
FPGA-aware / fixed-point algorithm development
VHDL / Verilog / RTL knowledge
Wireless Communication / 4G / 5G PHY experience

We are especially interested in two profiles:
1️⃣ M.Tech/PhD candidates with research experience in VLC, LiFi, OWC, optical OFDM or wireless channel modelling.
2️⃣ Industry Wireless PHY Engineers with strong PHY + DSP + FPGA fundamentals who are interested in moving into Optical Wireless R&D.
