Physical Education Teacher

Position: Full-time (Preferably a 2-year contract)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and internationally minded Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our IB school community in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will bring strong pedagogical skills, a passion for student physical fitness, nutrition and well-being, and experience working in multicultural, inquiry-based learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with IB PYP/MYP frameworks.

Foster physical literacy, teamwork, sportsmanship, and holistic wellness among students.

Design engaging units of inquiry that integrate movement, fitness, and sport skills.

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.

Implement age-appropriate safety guidelines and risk assessments during activities.

Contribute to the planning, development, and review of PE curricular plans within the IB framework

Use a variety of formative and summative assessment tools to evaluate student progress.

Maintain accurate student records and provide meaningful feedback to learners and parents.

Support the integration of ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills and international-mindedness.

Lead and support school sports teams, after-school clubs, and inter-house competitions.

Organize sports days, fitness challenges, and wellness events throughout the year.

Encourage participation in local and international tournaments where applicable.

Work collaboratively with homeroom and specialist teachers.

Participate in faculty meetings, IB training, and continuous professional development.

Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and the school leadership team.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.

Minimum 35 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school setting.

Prior experience with IB PYP and/or MYP curriculum (preferred).

Strong command of English (spoken and written).

Experience coaching one or more competitive sports (advantageous).

Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
