About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PHP & WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team on a fully remote basis. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with over seven years of solid experience in PHP and WordPress customization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of complex WordPress websites, plugins, and themes, ensuring they meet enterprise-level standards of security, performance, and scalability. You will work closely with project managers, digital marketing teams, and clients to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. The role involves hands-on development, project leadership, and mentoring junior developers, contributing significantly to the growth and success of our projects. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7+ years of practical experience in PHP and WordPress development, including extensive work on custom themes and plugins. Strong expertise in WordPress customization, WooCommerce, and API integrations is required. Candidates must have an advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery, with a keen eye for UI/UX design. A deep understanding of MySQL database architecture, query optimization, and web performance best practices is necessary. Familiarity with web security principles, OWASP guidelines, and secure coding standards is critical. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate experience working with REST APIs, third-party services, payment gateways, and version control systems like Git. Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and AEO-SEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is mandatory, along with excellent communication and project management skills.
