Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a PHP with Cloud Engineer at CNV Labs India Pvt. Ltd (iCloudEMS). The PHP with Cloud Engineer will design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs using PHP, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. The role includes integrating applications with cloud services, managing deployments, and optimizing infrastructure for high availability and reliability. Daily responsibilities involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implementing new features, troubleshooting issues across application and cloud layers, and writing clean, well-documented code. The engineer will also monitor system performance, manage Linux-based environments, optimize database queries, and contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong software development skills, including PHP (and related frameworks), RESTful APIs, and familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar), including deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications.
• Proficiency with Linux-based environments, including command-line operations, shell scripting, and basic system administration.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of infrastructure concepts such as load balancing, networking fundamentals, security best practices, and CI/CD workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup, collaborate effectively with distributed teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Experience in EdTech or building SaaS products is an advantage, along with knowledge of agile methodologies and basic testing practices (unit/integration tests).
