We are looking for a highly skilled PHP Architect with over 12 years of experience in backend development and software architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep proficiency in PHP and PHP frameworks (Laravel/Symfony/CodeIgniter), MySQL/MariaDB, and hands-on experience with GraphQL, React.js, and AWS cloud services. This is a leadership role that involves defining system architecture, of scalable, high-performance PHP applications. This leadership role combines technical expertise with strategic decision-making to define best practices, ensure top-tier application standards, and guide a talented development team.
Shift Timings: 5:30 PM - 2:30 AM (IST)
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of complex, scalable PHP-based web applications.
- Work extensively with PHP frameworks like Laravel/Symfony/CodeIgniter.
- Design and implement GraphQL APIs for seamless client-server communication.
- Collaborate with frontend developers using React.js for full-stack integration.
- Optimize and maintain relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) for performance and scalability.
- Architect cloud infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.).
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Ensure applications meet rigorous security and compliance standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews, performance audits, and system health monitoring.
- Mentor junior developers and lead technical decision-making processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and evaluate emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of professional experience in PHP development.
- Expert-level knowledge of Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony.
- Strong experience with GraphQL API design and implementation.
- Proficiency in React.js and frontend-backend integrations.
- In-depth knowledge of MySQL and/or MariaDB, including schema design and optimization.
- Solid experience working with AWS services and infrastructure.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system design.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps or similar).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of application security best practices.
