Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic PHP Developer with Moodle expertise to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in PHP development and Moodle LMS customization, with the ability to develop, maintain, and enhance Moodle-based learning platforms. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of web technologies, database management, and LMS integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Moodle LMS platforms according to business and client requirements.
- Design and implement new Moodle plugins, themes, and modules.
- Modify existing Moodle features and troubleshoot platform issues.
- Develop and maintain PHP-based web applications and integrate them with Moodle when required.
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases used by Moodle applications.
- Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and external systems with Moodle.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security of the Moodle platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, technical issues, and user-reported problems.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest Moodle releases, plugins, and best practices.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in PHP development.
- Hands-on experience working with Moodle LMS development and customization.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience in Moodle plugin development, theme customization, and Moodle API usage.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of MVC frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter (preferred).
- Knowledge of Linux server environments and deployment processes is an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills, debugging ability, and attention to detail.
