You will be making core architectural decisions, adding life to our product, and ensuring a seamless user experience.

A Day in the Life

As a PHP Developer for the Zifup project, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the backend systems that power our applications. A typical day might involve:

•Architecting and scaling robust APIs and backend services using clean, modular PHP.

•Diving deep into MySQL to dissect slow-running queries, restructure tables, and implement advanced indexing strategies.

•Managing server infrastructure, configuring DNS, monitoring server logs, and setting up CRON jobs on a LAMP stack.

•Exploring cutting-edge integrations, such as bridging our backend data processing with Large Language Models (LLMs) to make our services smarter.

Key Responsibilities

•Write clean, secure, test-driven, easily maintainable, and modular code.

•Develop and maintain cutting-edge web applications using PHP, integrating seamlessly with front-end applications.

•Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure the security and scalability of our services.

•Evaluate project requirements and provide technical solutions.

•Produce and maintain clear software documentation.

•Stay abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

Essential Requirements

•Education: B.Tech or B.Eng preferred.

•PHP Engineering (2 to 6 years): Thorough experience with core PHP, data types, arrays, forms, file handling, cookies, sessions, and JSON. We value pragmatic, highly performant code over rigid paradigms.

•Advanced MySQL: Proven experience writing complex yet highly optimized MySQL queries. You must understand relational design and database performance at scale.

•Front-End Integration: Complete understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Highly proficient with the Bootstrap framework.

•Infrastructure & DevOps: Strong understanding of LAMP Server environments, cron jobs, user management, server logs, and DNS configurations.

•Version Control & CI/CD: Solid grasp of code versioning tools (such as Git) and deployment automation (CI/CD Tools).

•Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly for technical documentation.

Brownie Points (Nice to Have)

•Experience building and maintaining applications using the Laravel framework.

•AI Integration: You have tinkered with or integrated Large Language Models (like OpenAI, Claude, or local models via Ollama) into real-world applications or workflows.
