Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer to join our growing
offshore team in India (employed via PICWA). The successful candidate will play a
key role in developing, maintaining, and improving SQiBLE's cloud-based software
solutions and integrations, working closely with our Australian and international
teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions as part of the
SQiBLE product and client delivery teams.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including
design, implementation, code review, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with the Developer Coordinator and Lead Developers to clarify
scope, estimate effort, and resolve blockers.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following SQiBLE's
development standards.
Integrate with APIs and external systems as required (Zoho, Xero etc.).
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems and integrations.
Contribute to process improvement by sharing insights and technical
recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related
field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in professional software development.
Proficiency in PHP and experience with at least one modern PHP framework
(CodeIgniter preferred).
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Experience with SQL databases (MSSQL preferred).
Familiarity with RESTful and Webhook API development.
Comfortable with Git-based version control and Agile methodologies.
Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across time
zones.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or other deployment tools.
Familiarity with QA processes and bug tracking using tools such as Jira, or
Trello.
Understanding of system architecture and ability to perform basic code
reviews.
Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills and a collaborative
mindset.
