About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with a strong focus on PHP to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our core backend systems that support enterprise-level debt recovery operations. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience. You should possess at least three years of proven backend development experience, with strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL. A thorough understanding of MVC architecture and API-driven backend design is essential, along with experience in designing secure authentication and authorization systems. Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, and performing performance optimization tasks is required. Candidates should have experience working in SaaS or product-based environments, demonstrating a high ownership mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within teams. Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory, and flexibility to work US business hours when necessary is expected.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services utilizing PHP to support enterprise debt recovery workflows.
- Create and maintain normalized, efficient, and secure MySQL data models aligned with system requirements.
- Build and document secure, well-structured REST APIs to facilitate integration with frontend systems and third-party services.
