About the Role
We are looking for a PHP Backend Developer (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on backend development, web application architecture, API design, database integration, and scalable software systems.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to PHP applications, RESTful APIs, backend services, authentication systems, database management, and performance optimization, helping improve how AI models understand and generate high-quality backend solutions.
Your expertise will contribute to improving AI systems used for intelligent coding assistants, backend automation, web development platforms, and enterprise software engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated PHP and backend development outputs
- Review peer-developed deliverables to improve AI research quality and consistency
- Assess AI outputs for code quality, architecture, scalability, security, performance, and maintainability
- Identify bugs, inefficient implementations, security vulnerabilities, database issues, API design flaws, or architectural gaps in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Support workflows involving backend development, API integration, authentication systems, database operations, and cloud-based applications
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on backend engineering and software development workflows
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in PHP and backend development concepts
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication mechanisms, session management, and backend architecture
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB
- Familiarity with Git, Linux environments, caching systems, and performance optimization techniques
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or microservices is a plus
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
