Must be thorough with the design verification, which includes Indian standards plumbing & fire fighting calculations
Have a good knowledge of various equipment used in the projects and selection of the equipment variety of pipes, sprinklers,harvesting systems etc
Study of tender specification and ensure project is carried out as per the same
Guiding draftsman to prepare the final designs, discuss the same with consultants / architects and get final approvals
Apply value engineering to reducing cost of the project
Preparation of final Bills of Quantity (BOQ) and variation statement
