Are you an organised, proactive individual who thrives in a busy healthcare environment Our Hospital Pharmacy Department is looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Secretary to join our friendly and dynamic team. This is a key administrative role supporting the smooth running of our service and ensuring our patients and staff receive the highest standard of support.
About The Role
As our Pharmacy Secretary, you will play a vital part in the daytoday coordination of the department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Updating staff rotas and ensuring accurate, timely scheduling
- Diary management for senior pharmacy staff and coordinating key meetings
- Minute taking and preparing clear, concise documentation
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider multidisciplinary health team
- Answering calls from patients, providing helpful and professional communication
- Supporting staff pay processes
- General administrative duties to support the effective running of the pharmacy service
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills
- Can work confidently with sensitive information
- Enjoys working as part of a team and building strong working relationships
- Is comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
- Has previous administrative or secretarial experience (NHS experience desirable but not essential)

As from 1st April 2026 the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a regulated role, your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
