Pharmacy Assistant

Job Purpose

To assist in the smooth day-to-day operations of the pharmacy by supporting medicine dispensing, stock management, billing, and customer service while ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy procedures.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing medicines and other pharmacy products as per prescriptions and under the supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Support pharmacy billing and ensure accurate entry of medicines and quantities.
• Arrange, label, and maintain medicines systematically.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the Pharmacy In-charge about low-stock items.
• Check expiry dates regularly and maintain proper records of expired and damaged medicines.
• Assist in receiving, verifying, and storing medicines purchased from suppliers.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the pharmacy.
• Handle patient and customer enquiries politely and provide necessary assistance.
• Support daily stock verification and inventory management.
• Follow hospital policies, pharmacy procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
