About The Opportunity
We are hiring a hands-on Retail Pharmacist to run day-to-day pharmacy operations at a busy medical and general store in Tellapur, Hyderabad. This on-site role centers on safe dispensing, strong customer care, and efficient inventory controlproviding essential medicines and healthcare advice to local patients and walk-in customers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately validate and dispense prescriptions, ensuring correct drug selection, dosage, and labeling for patients and caregivers.
- Provide clear, evidence-based patient counselling on medication use, side effects, interactions, and adherence.
- Manage OTC recommendations and minor ailment triage, guiding customers to appropriate non-prescription products or referral when needed.
- Oversee inventory: receive stock, perform expiry checks, rotate stock, and maintain accurate records to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Maintain cold chain for temperature-sensitive products and ensure compliance with storage and safety protocols for controlled medicines.
- Operate POS and pharmacy billing systems, handle cash/card transactions, and maintain daily sales and regulatory documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Registered Pharmacist with the relevant State Pharmacy Council.
- Proven experience working in retail/community pharmacy operations.
- Strong knowledge of prescription validation, drug interactions, and medication safety practices.
- Familiarity with inventory controls, expiry management, and cold chain procedures.
- Comfortable using pharmacy POS and inventory management software and maintaining regulatory paperwork.
Preferred
- Experience with pharmacy ERPs such as Marg, Tally, or Pharmarack.
- Training or certification in first aid/CPR or basic clinical screening.
- Prior exposure to government or private insurance billing processes.
