We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe dispensing of medications, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations and hospital policies.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage accuracy, potential drug interactions, and contraindications.
- Counsel patients and caregivers regarding medication usage, dosage schedules, storage requirements, and possible side effects.
- Maintain proper records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement to ensure adequate availability of medicines and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Verify the authenticity and validity of prescriptions received from healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe medication practices.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, quality standards, and hospital protocols.
- Participate in medication audits, inventory checks, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy department.
- Assist in handling emergency medication requirements and critical care drug supplies when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, medication management, and dispensing practices.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and healthcare compliance standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
