  • Design and execute process studies, interpret technical data, and prepare study proposals, progress updates, development reports, and technical memoranda.
  • Assess emerging technologies and support their implementation to improve existing commercial manufacturing processes.
  • Lead scale-up activities from R&D through manufacturing, ensuring successful transfer and continued process robustness following product launch.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues and lead investigations into deviations using appropriate root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Participate in equipment URS development, retrofit projects, FATs, SATs, and equipment qualification activities.
  • Support Quality Risk Assessments (QRA) and process hazard analysis to identify and mitigate process-related risks.
  • Develop project scopes, preliminary cost estimates, and cost plans to support capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals.
  • Manage several engineering projects simultaneously while balancing priorities, timelines, technical requirements, and business needs.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and adapt effectively to changing project priorities and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, or higher.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Development, or a related function.
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise competing requirements, and deliver according to project timelines.
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, process development, technology transfer, scale-up, and technical operations.
  • Proactive and professional mindset with strong ownership, work ethics, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and compliance.
