Job Summary
Navodaya Central School is seeking a passionate and committed PGT Social Science Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering critical thinking, and creating an engaging learning environment for senior secondary students. The role requires strong subject expertise, effective classroom management skills, and a genuine interest in supporting students academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, assignments, and assessment strategies.
- Create an engaging and interactive classroom environment that promotes student participation and learning.
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor student progress through tests, examinations, projects, and assignments.
- Provide academic guidance and constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, and performance reports.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive academic activities.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, academic reviews, and school events.
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities of the institution.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic coordinators to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Master's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, or a related Social Science discipline.
- B.Ed. from a recognized university/institution.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in CBSE, ICSE, or equivalent curriculum.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using technology-enabled teaching tools and digital learning platforms.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
