Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a PGT English teacher based in Ghaziabad. The role involves planning and delivering engaging English lessons for senior classes, aligned with the prescribed curriculum and school standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, evaluating student performance through assignments and examinations, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The teacher will facilitate reading, writing, grammar, and critical thinking skills, encourage participation in debates, literature activities, and competitions, and support students overall language development. Additional tasks include collaborating with colleagues, attending staff meetings, participating in school events, and communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications
- Strong English Teaching skills, including subject expertise at senior secondary level and experience with relevant board curricula.
- Excellent Communication skills for classroom instruction, student engagement, and interaction with parents and colleagues.
- Ability to provide Training and academic support through workshops, remedial classes, and enrichment activities.
- Professional skills in Translation or bilingual support are an advantage for diverse classroom needs.
- Background in Customer Service or stakeholder management is beneficial for handling parent queries and maintaining positive school-community relationships.
- Master's degree in English or a related field, along with B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching at senior secondary level, with strong classroom management and assessment skills.
- Comfort with using educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
