Job Role: CBSE PGT Commerce

Core Purpose

To teach Commerce subjects to senior secondary students (Classes XI–XII) in alignment with the CBSE curriculum, fostering conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and academic excellence while preparing students for board examinations and future careers in commerce, business, and finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Commerce subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, and related disciplines as assigned, in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
• Plan and deliver structured lesson plans, assignments, case studies, projects, and assessments that promote conceptual clarity and practical application.
• Prepare students for CBSE board examinations through systematic revision, mock tests, and examination-oriented guidance.
• Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, presentations, and projects; maintain accurate academic records.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of business and financial concepts to real-world scenarios.
• Guide students in project work, research activities, commerce-related competitions, and subject enrichment programs.
• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support to ensure academic progress.
• Integrate technology, current business trends, and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
• Participate in departmental planning, curriculum development, school events, training programs, and professional development activities.
  
  

Qualification & Skills

• Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com) or a related discipline.
• B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
• Strong knowledge of Commerce subjects and familiarity with CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and student mentoring skills.
• Ability to explain business, financial, and economic concepts through practical examples and case-based learning.
• Proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart classroom methodologies.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
